Job Summary:

At NHBC, operational resilience is fundamental to protecting our customers, supporting our people and ensuring our critical business services continue to perform when they are needed most.

As our Operational Resilience Analyst, you'll play an important role in supporting and enhancing our operational resilience framework. Working alongside the Operational Resilience Manager and colleagues across Technology, Risk and the wider business, you'll help ensure resilience is embedded into everyday operations, enabling NHBC to prepare for, respond to and recover from disruption.

What You'll Be Doing

You'll support the continued development and operation of NHBC's operational resilience framework by:

• Maintaining documentation for Important Business Services, including end-to-end process mapping, critical dependencies and operational vulnerabilities.
• Supporting Business Impact Analysis activities, helping to define impact tolerances, recovery priorities and supporting resilience evidence.
• Coordinating and supporting resilience scenario testing, business continuity exercises and lessons learned activities, ensuring actions are tracked through to completion.
• Identifying operational resilience risks, issues and control weaknesses, supporting remediation activities and escalating where appropriate.
• Producing resilience dashboards, management information and reports to support governance forums, regulatory reporting and senior decision-making.
• Maintaining resilience policies, standards, procedures and documentation, helping embed business continuity, crisis management and incident response practices across the organisation.
• Working closely with Important Business Service Owners, Technology, Operations, Risk and third-party suppliers to coordinate workshops, governance activities and resilience reviews.

What We're Looking For

You'll have experience supporting operational resilience, business continuity, operational risk or control activities within a regulated environment and be keen to develop your career in a growing resilience function.

You'll also bring:

• Experience documenting important business services, business processes, critical dependencies and operational risks.
• An understanding of Business Impact Analysis, impact tolerances, resilience testing, business continuity and incident response.
• Knowledge of operational resilience frameworks and standards, including ISO 22301 and PRA/FCA operational resilience guidance.
• Experience supporting risk assessments, issue management, resilience reporting and governance activities.
• Exposure to third-party, supplier or outsourcing risk within an operational or assurance environment.
• An understanding of operational risk management and experience working within a three lines of defence model, ideally in a first-line role.
• Experience supporting change, transformation or technology-enabled services, with an appreciation of how resilience should be embedded throughout delivery.
• Confidence producing management information and using data to provide meaningful resilience insight.
• Strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess risks across people, process, technology and third-party dependencies.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to build relationships across business, technology and risk teams and present information clearly to a range of audiences.
