Salary: £80,000 - £90,067 + 20% performance bonus, company car

Job summary:

This role is focused on driving business growth by identifying commercial opportunities, influencing builders to enhance construction quality, and working closely with internal teams to implement business strategy. It also includes promoting NHBC’s, acting as a senior ambassador for the brand.

 

What you’ll be doing

The role involves building and maintaining strategic partnerships with senior management and stakeholders in the homebuilding industry to enhance NHBC’s market position and reputation. Responsibilities include collaborating with the Commercial Directorate to meet volume and profitability targets, conducting market research to uncover new commercial opportunities, and developing key third-party relationships. The role also requires promoting NHBC products and services, managing the prestigious "Pride in the Job" competition, and influencing industry standards to improve construction quality across the UK. Strong internal collaboration with various departments is key to ensuring effective account management and achieving business objectives.

 

What we’re looking for

  • Strong customer relationship management skills at Director level.
  • Ability to effectively analyse data, identify trends and act for the good of the customer and NHBC’s wider business.
  • Ability to steer people and departments onto a chosen path to achieve business wins and maintain excellent service levels.
  • IT literate, numerically competent, high standard of literacy and highly articulate.
  • Can-do attitude with a flexible and adaptive nature. Inquisitive and willing to challenge the norm
  • In depth understanding of NHBC Standards and Building Regulations.
  • Good understanding of the UK new home warranty market including NHBC’s competitors.
  • Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the house building process with the ability to identify good and bad practice.
  • An excellent communicator with proven negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Ability to write detailed technical reports and papers.
  • Chartered Member or working towards Chartered Membership of a recognised construction related body (RICS, CIOB, CABE).
  • Full UK driving licence.
