Job Summary

Are you ready to lay the foundations of the next generation’s success? We’re looking for an experienced bricklayer or construction professional to take the lead as a Senior Trainer on our Brickwork Apprenticeship programme. If you love sharing your knowledge and helping others grow, this role is the perfect opportunity to turn your trade into a lasting legacy.

What you’ll be doing

  • Deliver engaging, hands-on training that’s practical, purposeful, and always delivered on time and on budget.

  • Lead apprenticeship training and assessments to hit both quality and performance targets.

  • Work closely with customers, awarding bodies and external agencies to ensure programmes meet expectations and maintain high standards.

  • Help uphold NHBC’s accreditations with Ofsted, ESFA and other awarding bodies through consistent quality assurance.

  • Collect and report key learner data and performance indicators to support ongoing improvement.

  • Track and maintain apprentice progress, keeping in line with Ofsted and ESFA compliance.

  • Adapt your training approach for different learning needs, ensuring all apprentices feel supported and included.

What we’re looking for

  • A proven track record in apprenticeship delivery with successful learner outcomes.

  • Solid, hands-on experience in construction – especially bricklaying in the new-build housing sector.

  • Timber frame or groundwork knowledge is a bonus.

  • Someone who’s made a real impact by improving how trade skills are delivered and learned.

  • Confident in interpreting NHBC Standards and turning them into meaningful, engaging training.

  • A natural coach and communicator who can influence and inspire people at all levels.

  • Organised and driven – able to meet deadlines while motivating others to do the same.

Education and Qualifications

  • Full UK driving licence

  • Minimum Level 2 Bricklaying qualification

  • Teaching qualification (or currently working towards one)

  • English & Maths qualifications at apprenticeship level or above

  • Working towards membership of a relevant professional body (we’ll support you!)

What we offer

Our benefits package includes:

  • 27 days annual leave + bank holidays
  • holiday purchase scheme
  • enhanced pension scheme (up to 10.5%)
  • life assurance
  • subsidised private medical insurance
  • employee discounts platform
  • two days volunteer leave
  • enhanced maternity, paternity, adoption leave and pay for all new parents

 + many more!
